Playing in the Dirt

It's hard to pass a garden center at this time of year! So many beautiful plants and vegetables just waiting to be taken home and planted. I also have a soft spot for garden art and can always find something unique at a wonderful local show called From the Summer's Garden held at the home of former Hallmark artist Steve Hess.
Fountain
Steve's house sits on two lots with one lot dedicated to the garden. This lot has winding trails lined with garden sculptures and Steve's whimsical stepping stones. The following photos are from his yard.
The following photos are from my humble little patch...
This year I purchased two more stepping stones for the little path through the garden at the back of the yard.

One of Steve's angels guards the whimsical shade and fairy garden.

Happy gardening!

  10. Wow, what a fun and beautiful place to shop at...we have one similar to us called NORTHWIND PERENNIAL GARDENS and it's on an old farm...isn't it fun just to walk around and look at things even if you don't purchase...but who can resist all the beautiful offerings.

  11. I love Steve's "garden" shows. I didn't get to go this spring. It's just a real treat to see all he creates. I have a wonderful plaque in my front yard that says "Act Old Later". I have always lived that way....so when I saw that at his sale...well, it came home with me!!

Hope all is well with you!! I can't believe how quickly the time is flying by! It's gonna be summer soon...and I still don't have any pots filled with plants. We've been busy dealing with our daughter's health issues. It's been a rough three months for all of us.

Anyway....hope you can get out and enjoy a bit of this day!
