One of the reasons I began blogging was to connect with others who enjoy crafting. I enjoy being part of a creative community and really enjoy getting to know and being inspired by other crafters. What do you like to see or read on blogs? Do you like to get decorating or gardening ideas, see finished projects, learn new techniques...? Help me be a better blogger by leaving me a comment and letting me know what attracts you to a blog. I think the most important thing for a successful blog is lots of pictures - at least those are the ones I enjoy the most. And I'd suggest not sharing TOO much personal information - I just don't think it's safe out there on the internet! I love Seeing projects and crafts!
I read blogs to see what the creative community is creating and doing. I do enjoy seeing finishes as well as works in progress. Inspires me to get going on a project of my own!
What an incredible giveaway! Maggie Bonanomi is my favorite designer and I keep looking at this design, but haven't made it yet. Your version turned out fantastic! You asked what keeps me coming back and reading a blog...I love reading about and seeing pictures of peoples homes, projects that they have completed both handmade and home renovation, recipes, kids, pets and reading about the blog author as a person. Turn offs are blogs with "this is what I have for sale" if they aren't specifically a selling blog.

As for blogging ~ I enjoy blogs that reflect similiar interests to mine: crafting, prim decorating, antiquing/junking, history, everyday life, etc. I prefer those with a more personal touch (i.e., that aren't afraid to tell me their first name or show pictures of the outside of their homes, etc. Yes, the internet is a scary place, but, hopefully it isn't blog friends we need to be frightened of...that much info can be found on other sites as well...) For me--make the print bigger so it's easier to read. On my blog, I have info on how to make your blog more reader friendly. I like your layout. I love the penny rug.
I love before and after pictures, gardening pics, occasional family pics, happy and upbeat news, things that peak your interest.
Turn-offs----too much religion, complaining, too much about health problems, trying to sell me something in a post ( use the sidebar ), too many gadgets that slow down the upload....
I like the looks of your space--nice colors.
