Old Summit Country Antique Show
The show with the name I can never remember, but it is definitely worth going to. I scooted over to this show as soon as my last wonderful class at Primitives of the Midwest ended last Saturday. So much excitement for one day!
Ginger and Leslie's booth looked wonderful, as usual.
I found lots of great sewing treasures. These all came from different vendors, but now they'll get to mingle and share stories of their unique histories.
And I have a sad story of the one that got away. On my first past through I spotted an adorable concrete mushroom with a wonderful patina. I hesitated, thinking I'd make my rounds and return if it still called to me. Well, I completed my rounds and decided it was definitely a treasure I couldn't leave without so I started back towards the booth, only to pass another shopper heading towards the door with that wonderful mushroom! I'm sure she'll enjoy it even more after I told her I was just on my way back to get that very item. When will I learn I'm not the only one with a thing for old concrete?

I did the same thing at a flea market a couple of weeks ago. I passed on a 5 ring barrel, well worth the money he reduced it to, and the person beside me bought it. Dagnabbit! Oh well, it looks like you got some great finds.
Looks like a really neat show. I have done the same thing, saw an old iron, went back to get it, guess what someone else liked it to. You would think I would learn. Have a great 4th. Vicky

Wonderful little treasures Roberta! I love the little embossed pinkeep especially! Oh, I've forgotten how many times that has happened to me - so many so that I've come to rationalize it by telling myself I only THINK I wanted it that badly because it was gone...had it been there when I went back, perhaps I would have second-guessed whether I really wanted it after all! (You know - you only want it because someone else has it syndrome??) It's probably not true, but it helps ease the pain! Have a wonderful holiday! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

I love going to flea markets and craft fairs. Not too many of them down this way. I have found that if you see an item you may want, you better grab it and decide later. Most times it won't be there when you go back.
Happens to me all the time.
