Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Primitive Gatherings Design
I can't believe it. Halloween is barely over and already the Christmas commercials are running! I just want to look forward to Thanksgiving! Appropriately enough, though, while watching all those Christmas commercials I'm stitching away on Christmas penny rugs. This is another mat that I began last year. I hope you're not keeping track of how many WIPs I had in my stash, but it feels great to be tackling them and finally completing them!
One last look at Halloween. I had to work at the church on Sunday and asked DH to carve one of our pumpkins. I thought he would just do the typical pumpkin face but he was in a creative mood and came up with his own design. Didn't he do a great job?

Love the mat! I used to feel like CHristmas was pushed... but I changed my view on that and decided that thanksgiving and christmas are just one 2 month long holiday now. LOL! I'll have my christmas trees up in no time! :) I put so much work into christmas decorating I might as well get to enjoy it for 2 months instead of one. :) It will be here before we know it.

I've always love that mat design - and you did it up beautifully Roberta - absolutely love it! And your hubby's jol is AWESOME! I didn't even get one carved this year (really difficult on my hands to do them....) - alas, that is the LAST thing my DH would want to do for me!! Have a great Thursday! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Hi Roberta! Remember me from rug hooking at Anita's? I was at Handcrafters helping Mimi and Suzanne in their booth and didn't get around to all the other booths. Would have loved to say hello to you. So, hello! I'm happy to have found your blog. Mine is amysdustytrail.blogspot.com. We miss you at Anita's and often mention you and your wonderful kitty rug. Your primitive goodies are wonderful!
