New Year, New Look, New Ventures

I hope you had a wonderful New Year's Eve. We had friends over and spent a very enjoyable evening playing games, including our new favorite, Apples to Apples, and snacking on a variety of hearty appetizers. I usually make the standard Chex Mix and Lil Smokies and this year added Buffalo Chicken Dip, courtesy of Purple Chocolat Home. It was a hit at our house!

With the new year I'm introducing a new look to my blog. I will continue to focus on the same topics as in the past but wanted to simplify the look and feel of my blog.

I'm also very honored and thrilled to have joined the talented group of artisans on Early Work Mercantile. I will be offering new items on the first of every month here. If you haven't visited Early Work Mercantile before, you are in for a treat! Please check it out and see what everyone is offering this month.

Sounds like a fun New Year's Eve....Ours was our traditional celebration - hubby makes a wonderful meal of prime rib, lobster and crab, and is nighty night by 8, and I watch The Twilight Zone marathon.... On family get-togethers, though, we love our games - Apples to Apples and Balderdash are among our favorites. Congratulations on your affiliation with Early Work Mercantile....Some of my favorite artists are there so no doubt you will fit right in....Wishing you and yours a wonderfully blessed new year overflowing with joy and hope....When I look back on my many blessings of 2011, I count finding you....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

'm so glad to hear your precious kitty is better. We lost our house cat last year. She was in kidney failure, just broke my heart. She was 14. I have 3 other cats, all strays that have come here and I always keep them. I hope you will check out my new blog, I just started this week. If you like animals, farm life, decorating, antiques, etc you will like it. And that cake looks delicious. I will try it. Check out my recipe for Puff Pancake. I hope you will become a follower.
